And you can’t help but wonder:
“What am I missing? What do they know that I don’t?”
If that’s where you are right now...
feeling unseen, underpaid, and unsure why your talks aren’t turning into revenue...
you’re in the right place.
I know exactly what that feels like, because I lived in that loop far longer than I’d like to admit.
Back then, I cared deeply about serving people. I knew my coaching could help. I knew my programs worked. But every time I spoke (whether it was on a podcast, a workshop, a small event, or even a local meetup) the same pattern kept repeating:
People told me I was “inspiring” or “so helpful,” but no one actually bought.
Do you know how confusing that is?Â
To be told you’re amazing… and still walk away with nothing?
I remember one event in particular. I had spent two weeks preparing a talk I was proud of... slides polished, delivery practiced, message tight. There were about 40 people in the room. I poured everything into it. People nodded, took notes, even came up afterward to tell me how much it meant to them.
But when I made my offer?
Silence.
Not a single sale. Not even a follow-up email. I sat in my car afterward with my hands on the steering wheel, staring at the dashboard, wondering if I was just not cut out for this. It felt like I was always one step away from success but never quite getting there.
I kept trying different things...
Rewriting my talk, adding more value, changing my offer, speaking longer, speaking shorter. Nothing shifted. And the more I tried, the more discouraged I became.
It wasn’t a confidence problem. It wasn’t a talent problem. It was something deeper...something I couldn’t see yet.
And honestly? I was tired of guessing.
